Tutorial is finished!
The first tutorial is complete! It took alot longer then I expected. This tutorial was NOT intended to show you how to create a template from scratch, it is simply to go through all of the code of the LightroomGalleries.com Template 1 in order to give you a good understanding of where things are and what they do.
I am going to follow up this tutorial with a more straightforward and to the point tutorial. We will start from a stripped down template with only the bare essentials and then add design elements to it. I hope this tutorial give you a better insight into how an Adobe Photoshop Lightroom web gallery template is created. It is not s simple task, but once you have a look at the files and kind of know where things are and what they do, you should be able to create your own without problems. Most of the functionality required is already programmed into this template. All you really need to do is plug in your own css styles, html, images, and whatever else you want to include.
Please post any comments, suggestions, questions, and advice in the forums. I am not an XSLT or XML master so there are probably better ways of doing and/or explaining things, which I’m sure some of you are eager to point out, and PLEASE DO!
Tutorials
I have been slowly adding the tutorials to the site under the Pages menu to the right. I am hoping to have them all up there within the next day or so. Before you start going through the tutorials i strongly suggest you download the template first and have the files open as you go through. Hope you find them helpful.
Welcome!
Welcome to LightroomGalleries.com!
LightroomGalleries.com site is brand new site that will show you how to create your own custom Web Gallery templates to use in the Web Module of Adobe Lightroom.
Many people have been asking “How do I create my own custom web galleries templates for Adobe Lightroom.” I asked that same question myself. I have taken the time to figure out how to do it, and I will be creating and posting tutorials showing you how i did it. They will be written in a language that the average person can understand and follow.
There currently is almost no information online yet on how to create custom web gallery templates for Adobe Lightroom. There is nothing for the average person who just wants to create their own custom galleries easily and quickly. Luckily, I have taken on the task of learning how to do it myself, and more importantly, showing YOU how to do it. I will provide easy to follow tutorials, downloadable templates, tips and tricks, and much more. Hopefully this site can also turn into a nice little community where we can all share our knowledge about using the Adobe Lightroom Web Module.
Check back often as we will start adding content soon!
