Almost ready!
Hey guys, we are still hard at work on the new version including the site editor. I have 4 people testing it now and every thing is going well. I have a few adjustments to make and then it’s ready for release! I’ll keep you all posted.
New TTG iPhone Portfolio!!!!
Matt @ theturninggate.net has been hard at work creating the first Lightroom web photo gallery engine for iPhone!. Below are the details. Check it out! nice work Matt!
Happy New Year, my fellow Lightroomers! On this, the first day of 2009, I’m very pleased to announce the release of a new template from The Turning Gate, TTG iPhone Portfolio.
Because of their small screens, unique input methods and functional differences, mobile devices demand a new paradigm from web-designers. Web-standards can ensure universal access to a site from any device, but even standards-based designs are often unideal for mobile devices. That’s why many companies and organizations, such as Google and Flickr, now offer alternate, slimmed down versions of their sites for mobile devices.
In the last several years, mobile devices have stepped up their game, offering functionality now on par with full-blown computers. Increasingly, users are accessing the web from their mobile phones, iPods, etc. New paradigms in web content delivery are now taking shape.
As a photographer, you want your images to reach the widest possible audience.
TTG iPhone Portfolio is the first Lightroom web photo gallery engine to address the mobile phenomenon. Apple’s iPhone and iPod Touch are amongst the top-selling mobile devices on the market. TTG iPhone Portfolio can be used to create lite portfolio sites tailored specifically for viewing on Apple’s devices, complete with a Gallery, About page and Contact form.
For a demonstration, direct your iPhone or iPod Touch to http://www.theturninggate.net/iphone/.
TTG iPhone Portfolio is being distributed via E-Junkie.com for $5.00. Visit The Turning Gate for more details.

Updates and the Total Site Editor!
Hey everyone!
Well things have been a bit quiet around the LRG site lately (mostly me), but don’t worry, i am hard at work working on the next release!! Its been a while since the last update, and I want to make sure this next release is as good as it can be with the least about of bugs. Please forgive me for the delay, and I hope you understand the reasons behind the delay. I hope to have it out very soon!
I am also working on a new Total Site Editor for LRG Complete based sites. I do have to say, this new Site editor will be awesome! It is basically a complete administration panel (web based) for you to manage every aspect of your site from one location. You can edit all settings for the shell, pages, and galleries. You can also add, delete, and organize all images from this admin panel. I am very excited about this new feature and i know it will make everyones life much easier while working with your LRG Complete based sites.
Cooliris Update!
Just wanted to give you an update - Cooliris has just gotten a lot more personal with some major feature changes in version 1.9!
With Favorites, the content that is relevant and important to you is always just a click away in your own personal 3D Wall. “Star” videos, photos or Flash content to sync it with your account and add it to your own Wall.
You could create a playlist of your favorite music videos from across the web, or assemble an entire season of Hulu television shows or movies. From the mundane to the esoteric or the exciting, Favorites in Cooliris is always faster and easier than bookmarking individual web pages.
Cooliris takes customization even further by introducing Preferences. You can customize the look and feel of the 3D Wall itself. Users can modify the number of rows in the Wall, the speed of the Wall scroll, as well as the Wall Angle, Zoom Levels and much more.
Check out Cooliris and make it your own at http://www.cooliris.com/product.php!

Fixing script errors in LR/Windows Web module
Here is a posting a found from Matt at the Turning Gate. Maybe this will help some people with errors?
As long as I’ve been developing web engines for Lightroom’s Web module, Windows users have complained of script error pop-ups. User Jacob Decker has recently found a solution for the problem, and I’ve posted it as a troubleshooting article on my website.
The article is here, reproduced below.
The steps, according to Jacob, are as follows:
1. Using a Registry Editor such as Regedt32.exe, open this key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\InternetExplo rer\StylesNote If the Styles key is not present, create a new key that is called Styles.
2. Create a new DWORD value called “MaxScriptStatements” under this key and set the value to the desired number of script statements.
HOWEVER, whats different is this:
Set the “MaxScriptStatements” Value to DECIMAL, then type 0 to Disable the damn box, Voila! no more “script is taking for too long” box.
The part they don’t tell you is that to run this you have to do start menu-run-Regedt32.exe, then to add all these things you have to right click in a bunch of places. This will not solve the error message loop you are currently in, you have to close IE, and unfortunately close and restart Lightroom. But after that there is no problem.
Progress Update
Things have been quiet here for a while, but progress is being made. Have a look at this forum post for development updates. Also, please join the forums for discussions on development.
Quick Update
Hello everyone!
I just wanted to give you guys a quick update on template development. I am still working on integrating the font switching system for LRG Complete which will allow you to change the font used in the template. You will have 10 fonts to choose from, but we have the ability to use whatever font you want, but In order to do that though i’ll need to create the font files for you. Adding this feature has caused alot or work for me. I have to go through all the templates and rewrite the code for every text field to allow for different fonts, font sizes, and alignments. I also have to make everything adjust and resize correctly based on the font size chosen. This has proved to be alot of work, but I think its well worth it for you all.
I need to get the font switcher 100% completed before I move on to any other changes or fixes. I have a good sizes list of work to complete posted in the forums. Once I am finished with the font switcher I am going to work my way through that list. I am holding off on taking feature requests and requests for items that are a little too specialized or customized for the needs of the general user. Once I complete my task list in the forums I will release the new version. Then I’ll take some time to fix any bugs and get the template solid and stable (if needed).
Once the new version is complete, solid, and stable i’ll start going through the forums looking for new ideas and suggestions for the template (LRG Complete).
I do have some new templates in development, but have not had any time to work on them yet. I hope to get those new templates completed in the near future.
I will still continue to browse the forums and answer questions and help out whenever I can.
Thanks
Joe
