LRG Complete 2.5.5 Released!!
The latest LRG Complete version is now 2.5.5 and is filled with many updates, fixes, and new features. Please DELETE ANY previous versions and copy over the new ones, you will still be able to use you presets you may have made.
Change Log:
- Complete redo of shipping and coupons for the cart system. We now have better flat rate shipping options which can be administered through your PayPal or Google accounts
- Some minor updates to the Email Order feature
- Support for multiple passwords for galleries.
- Fixed page navigation rollover issue
- You can now use special characters in category and gallery name (documentation on this coming soon)
- When closing a large image it no longer flashes white.
- Fixed issue where thumbnails would still load, and be visible, after a large image was loaded.

USING MULTIPLE PASSWORDS FOR GALLERIES:
Open up the pw.php file for your gallery and have a look at the comments and examples at the top. It is very easy to implement.
USING SPECIAL LANGUAGE CHARACTERS IN CATEGORY AND GALLERY NAME:

Step 1: Export and upload your gallery to your website. When exporting your gallery and assigning it a folder name, do NOT use any special characters, just leave them out of the folder name. We will add the special characters later on. Go to yourdomain.com/menuxml.php. You should see nothing on this page, go to the next step
- Step 2: Since there is nothing visible on this page you will need to “View Source” of this page. In IE go to the menu and choose View -> Source. In FireFox go to the menu and choose View -> Page Source. Here you will see the structure of your galleries in xml format.
- Step 3: Select all the text on this page and them paste it into a new text document using your favorite text editor. Then save this new document as internationalmenu.xml.
- Step 4: Now we are ready to add category and gallery names with special characters. The code you pasted should look something like this:

The only part of this code we need to modify to allow special characters is the dirName=”" bit. The Name variable is the name of the actual folder on the server. The dirName will be what will appear in the menu. For any category or gallery you want to include a special character in you simple enter it in the dirName entry.
Example:
- Step 4: Save the file and upload it to the same location you uploaded your shell file. The menu will now pull in the internationalmenu.xml instead of the normal menuxml.php and your special characters will be displayed
LRG 2.5.4 Update released! And a quick note.
We updated the template once again. Almost all of the bugs posted in the forum for 2.5.4 have been fixed in this update. we also added some new features to the Email Order Form, ID Plate and Site Title and Description positioning, and some others.

LRG Complete 2.5.4 Released!

Thanks for all your patience everyone! We are ready to release the latest version of the LRG Complete template.
The latest version is now 2.5.4. Please DELETE ANY previous versions and copy over the new ones. You WILL lose any presets you have created, but from now on any new versions will use the same identifier and you will no longer lose preset settings when you upgrade, so this will be the last time you lose a preset.

- You can now select which payment options you want to offer your customers, PayPal, Google Checkout, or Email Order. The Email Order option emails you the customers order for processing.
- Added support for CAD and AUD currency
- Added “GLASS” theme option to the template (can be either on/off)

Using the MP3 Player:
To use the mp3 player you need to open the tracks.xml file after you export the gallery and add the path to you mp3 files (which you must upload).
Using Google Analytics:
You first must have a gogole analytics account for this tracking feature to work. Open up the index.html file from your shell template in a text editor.
Near the top you will see this line of code:

LRG Complete 2.5 update
The templates have been updated once again. See below for changes.
Change Log:
- Added field for changing the shipping label text for the cart. Example: you can now change the default “SHIPPING:” to say “Shipping + Handling”.
- Added option to keep the “OPEN MENU” button up at all times. the previous version would hide the button when viewing pages and show it when viewing galleries. You can now have it appear at all times.
- Pages can now have multiple images!! Look at the Multi-Image Page link in the demo for an example. Linking an image on a page to another page or gallery is a little different now. The links will now be pulled from the images IPTC “website” field. The linking conventions are basically the same but just written out differently. To link to another page set the “website” IPTC metadata field for the image to “page-your_pagename” for a page and “gallery-your_category_name/your_gallery_name”. The first part before the dash (-) is the link type (page or gallery), and the part after the dash is the link (same as how you enter them in the shell template)
- Revised code on pages to help eliminate the “blinking” some people are seeing.
- Other various minor tweaks and changes

LRG Complete RC2.5 User Manual released
David at Outdoor Images Fine Art has created an absolutely amazing User Manual for the LRG Complete Template! We all owe David great thanks for creating this Manual. The Manual has been updated for the current RC2.5 realease, and should server as everyones first stop before using the template.

We have a new release of the LRG Complete beta template ready to go, this on is LRG Complete RC2.5 and is the latest version including bug fixes, new features, and more. There has been alot of discussion and comments in the forum with people having the same issues, so fixed as many of those as I could for this release. This release should fix many of the problems you may have encoutered but not all. I wanted to get this out soon so people could move on and get past the issues they were having. The next and hopefully final RCx release will include pretty much everything and be a final and complete package. After that I will start getting ready for the full, out of beta stage, release of this template. Thanks to everyone for your suggestions, bug reports, donations, and help testing. I want to make this template work for as many people as possible.

Awesome new feature coming to LRG Complete!!!
We are putting together a full editor that will allow to to change almost all aspects of your site after you have already exported and uploaded your site, there is no need to have to keep exporting from Lightroom. Do it once and thats it!
You will be able to:
Update text, colors, pages, images, titles, captions, prices, shipping costs, add new images to galleries, and more.
Adding custom color options to the WYSIWYG text editor
The LRG Complete pages and contact page include a WYSIWYG text editor with a color picker. The color picker includes many colors, but what if non of the colors match your sites colors? Well thats pretty easy to fix. All you need to do to add a new custom color is to open up the xmlTransformer.xslt file that is located in your template installation folder and type it in. See insctuctions below.
Step 1:
Locate the template installation folder, this is where you put the template files when you installed them. Locate the folders for both the Page and Contact templates. Inside each template installation folder is a file called xmlTransformer.xslt, open that file up in a simple text editor program.
Step 2:
Look for the color definitions in the file.
It looks something like this:

Each color definition looks like this:

The actual color is represented in hexidecimal format. In the example above the actual color hexidecimal code is 333333. That is the only portion you need to worry about. You will need to get the hexidecimal code for the color you want to use in order to continue.
Step 3:
You have 2 options now. you can either replace a current color or add a new one, its up to you.
To replace a color simply change one of the colors hexidecimal codes you your new color.
In the example below we will change 333333 (gray) to FF0000 (red):

If you don’t want to replace a current color and add a new color thats no problem. Just duplicate any of the color definitions, and then change the color as shown above.
If you don’t need all those colors then just delete them and leave the definitions for the ones you want to use.
That’s all there is too it!
