LRG Complete 3.0 Final Released!

LRG Complete Preview

We are happy to announce the release of LRG Complete 3 as a final version! Well final in that its not Beta anymore. I will no longer support any previous versions of the LRG Complete template so EVERYONE should upgrade to this new version. Please delete any previous versions of this template from your Lightroom installation and install the current version. Your user presets should remain the same and can be applied to this new version, however, there are some new settings in this new version so you will need to save a new preset to include the new settings.

From this release on, anytime I release an update to the template I will provide detailed instructions on updating a current live site, running the previous, to the latest release. If I release 3.3 then instructions will be for updating from 3.2 to 3.3. They will not cover updates from say 3.1 to 3.3 so please stay up to date with the updates.

LRG Complete 3 Final includes:

The Gallery Demo is a working demo with Digital Delivery enabled for testing. Each image is set at a cost of $0.01 so you can make a test purchase without having to have a Paypal Sandbox account. This is a live PayPal transaction so you will be spending 1 cent per image. If you would like a refund of the money please contact me and let me know.

Hi,

As yet I haven’t upgraded to LR2 and wondered if this template works in LR1.4.1?

Regards,
Paul

We are updating the user’s guide to incorporate the cooliris procedures and the finishing touches from some other re-organization. This will be done by monday, so keep an eye out for the final user’s guide.

It is necessary to remove ‘Beta3′ from the template id in the .lrtemplate files that have been saved as presets if upgrading from the beta version.

e.g. templateId = “com.adobe.wpg.LRG.completeShellBeta3″,

needs to be changed to

templateId = “com.adobe.wpg.LRG.completeShell”,

yes it should work in 1.4.1 with the exception of Output Sharpening

An incredible Gallery! Thank you!

My only issue is - I find the exported images to be quite large for web use. Is there any way to optimize (at 72dpi) for web using the template?

thanks!
Harv

Just wanted to say to Joe and David congrats for all the hard work, support, and making a very useful template for all.

Great Job….

Ricardo,
Thanks for helping out with testing and debugging!!

I just unzipped LRG Complete 3.0. Installation instructions say to copy WebGallery.lrengine to the respective location per OS. There is no .lrengine directory from the zip file. There are four directories created under the parent (which the parent is whatever you name it in the unzip process).
LRG Complete Contact
LRG Complete Gallery
LRG Complete Page
LRG Complete Shell.

Is the parent supposed to be WebGallery.lrengine ?

Thanks, Brian

I got the MP3 player to work. But when I click on a link that is to another site, the player stops while the new window is loading. After the window loads then the player will start back, but at the begining of the first song.
Other than that this is the best thing since the wheel…

Thanks

Brian,

The four directories you list, LRG Complete Contact, Gallery, Page and Shell contain the files that generate the web site. These directories and their contents should be copied to the appropriate web gallery location for your operating system. Sorry about the confusion.

Hi David,

The confusion is that the Note in the documentation (include the final version) says: copy the “directory WebGallery.lrengine” to one of the three directories and restart Lightroom. There is no directory WebGallery.lrengine created when I unzip the files. Do I create a directory with this name and place the four listed directories beneath it?

Thanks, Brian

Thanks a lot for this template.

I understand the confusion and I have corrected this in the user’s guide. Thanks for pointing it out.

The answer to your question is not to create the WebGallery.lrengine directory as this is used for different types of Web Galleries, not the XML flash type like LRGC.

So, to setup Lightroom to use this Web Gallery, copy the directories in ZIP file - Shell, Contact, Gallery, Page - into the appropriate Web Gallery directory for your operating system. Then be sure to re-start Lightroom.

Again, sorry for the confusion.

Much thanks

Gentlemen - I am impressed with your “Complete” template but it is extremley difficult for me- being a novice with the Web
I was wondering if you could - for a fee - set up my site for me.

I have followed the install instructions and restarted LR several times. Only LRG Complete - Contact 3.0 comes up in my list. I have not removed LRG Complete 2.5.7. Is this the problem?

Hi
Grate work but I have some problem.
When I start customizing my maine page after I change some things my Lightroom Web module frizz and I have to restart Lightroom and of course I am losing all custom settings any buddy know why?
