LRG Complete - Contact Form

I have created a Contact form page for use with the LRG Complete template for Adobe Lightroom. This form allows the user to fill in various fields and submit their comments to you via email. It integrates into the LRG Complete template just as a regular page would. I’ll release it by the end of the day.

WOW! cool! I’m really looking forward to this one!

While you complete the contact page, I had some thoughts.

Since we have 8 menu item choices, can we leave those as customizable and add a checkbox as to whether we want to include the contact page. If checked, can we either a) choose a number that indicates which link order it should ocurr in (not my preference, but customizable - i.e., 3 would be third link) or b) force it to be the last menu item, number 9 (my preference).

David.

Thanks for the reply. I agree that the contact form as a separate template is the right way to go. What I meant was having a 9th menu item that was hard coded to the contact page (assuming you download it). It could be a simple checkbox and if checked, just puts the 9th menu item at the end so that it always appears at the end. Then you could run the contact page template and upload it separately.

Can’t wait to see it!

David.

Will it ever get any easier to create a gallery using this template? Why do we have to rename pages, and not be able to view the menu until you upload it? I don’t want to spend my time learning code or programming, I would rather spent it growing my business. I do think this is a great template if you have the time to put into it. Could it be made more user friendly?

foptodad,
Well, you got to understand that we are using a program, Lightroom, that is not really meant to produce websites, thats basically the bottom line. Lightroom is the limiting factor and is the reason we can’t do things the normal way and as easily as possible.

You have to rename pages so secure your password so not just anyone can access your page and hack it. If you can get the this website, download and install the template, then it should be no problem to rename a simple file.

You can’t view the menu without uploading it because 1) the menu uses php to generate the menu. 2)you would need your computer to be a web server running PHP, and im sure you don’t want to figure out how to do that, and even if you did it still won’t work because of Lightroom. If this template did not use a php script to generate the menu automatically you would have to manually edit XML files to get anything to show up, and im sure you don’t want to do that either.

People want all these complex features and want them as easy to use as possible, but don’t realize how hard it is to accomplish, and we need to hack our way along because we want Lightroom to do it all for us.

I actually think its fairly simple to use this template, you do NOT need any programming skills nor need to spend time learning code. All you need to do is follow the directions.

There are only a couple things you need to do to get this template to work, people seem to think its hard but it is actually very simple. You can get this template up and running in less then 5 minutes.

I think its as easy as it can get for a Lightroom template. If you need help please let me know. i think once you get it figured out you will realize its not a time consuming process and is a great template to build your business, and its FREE too :-) Please contact me if you need help getting going.

Joe
