We are very happy to announce the release of our latest template LRG FlashScroller! I think you guys will really like this one. The colors in this gallery are fully customizable as usual. Play around with it and let me know what you think! Also, please send me any bugs you may find, suggestions, comments.

Just a quick note about this template for you PC users out there. Lightroom will NOT show a preview of the flash movie used in this template. You will have to use the “Preview in Browser” button or actually export the Gallery.

Enjoy!

wow! looks really cool, and i like the basic idea a lot.
but somehow i cant get a grip on the scrolling… it seems a bit weird, the way the scrolling slows down. i think it could be more simplier: the more right (from the center point) the pointer is, the faster it scrolls, and wise versa to left ?

this is aweseome, i love it. Very clean and looks professional!! The scrolling does throw me off a bit but i guess its something I (and my viewers) can get get use to. Maybe if you kept the scrolling speed but have the thumbnails scroll continously in a loop. Just an idea. Great job.!!

Awesome! glad you like it! i think i am going to update this template so that you can define how fast or slow you want it to scroll. i think people would like that option alot.

Wow,
This is one of the coolest galleries templates I’ve seen. My only issues is that once you open up a picture you have to close and go to the next. how hard would it be to add a function whee once you open a picture, you have a button to go to the next picture?

Corey,
Thanks!! I was thinking the same thing when i made this gallery but i could not really figure out a way to do it. I think i can still be done but im just not sure how. I’m still looking into it and hopefully will get a solution out soon to this.

Very nice gallery .
Can we change slower when we scroll!
I think for some people it will be to fast ?

I just check your sample and and it’s perfect!
With my test it’s too fast!

Thanks! For the update (sometime soon) of this template i will add an input box into lightroom so you can enter a scroll speed that suits your needs. Right now i think it depends on how many images you have in the gallery. The more images the faster it needs to scroll.

I love this. Sorry for my ignorance, but I downloaded it, but don’t know what to do with it or how to use it. Any help you could provide, I use Lightroom.

Freddi,
Check out the Web Module Introduction under the Tutorials. Basically you just put the template folder in your Web Galleries folder, restart Lightroom, and the new template will show up on the right panel under Gallery. From there you just change the colors and settings and export the gallery. Remember though,if you are on a PC, this is a flash template it will not show a preview within Lightroom. You must use the Preview in Browser button or actually export the gallery to see it.

hi,

i’m testing this template and it’s possible to insert html tags (for example in the captions field) so i can click on it to open por example a new gallery?

love this template, and the loop thing and speed are plus features to built if you can.

I love this template, and was able to put up a test site, but feel I’m only scratching the surface. I don’t know how to
1) put captions in
2) change the fonts of the titles
3) make it play in flash

Here’s what I’ve done so far

http://freddifred.com/Schools_almost_out_2007_b/index.html

Does anyone have examples with this template using flash and captions?
Thanks in advance.

1) to put in captions you just need to make sure the “Caption” checkbox is selected under the Image Settings section of the right panel in the web module. Just change the caption settings to display the info you want.

2)you can not change fonts or font size of the titles at the moment

3)? the gallery is Flash and as long as you have the flash 8 player it will play.

Glad you like the template! hope this helps

hi again,

i’m rebuilding my entire website and i’d love to put this gallery as a main page and thru this page to go for other pages and galleries. for that i have to put in some where a menu with the links for the resto of the site, it’s possible in a future version? also, it will be a great feature if i put in the main page (for example) the best 15 or 10 photos of my entire work and for clicking in the thumbs pop the photo (as it is now) and in the footer put an active link to the collection of that photo. i try this last wish but the caption doesn’t read the html tags…

best regards,
nelson

HELP ! haha..

I love this gallery and want to convert my galleries to it. Here is the problem

1. When I export my gallery, it is adding a SECOND copyright watermark to each photo. Here is an example..

http://www.lebleuphoto.com/things/index.html

can you please help me with this?.. There is nothing in the gallery settings to shut it off, so I assume it is something that has to be edited out.. If you can point me to the right file to edit, I’d appreciate it.

Can you try some of the other templates and find one that is not showing duplicate watermarks? then i will see what the difference in the template is and try to fix it for you

sure..here is another page on the site that is not showing the duplicate.

http://www.lebleuphoto.com/nature/index.html

hope that helps..

Ken

Ok i think i fixed the problem. Please download the template again and give it a try

you are the king… looks great !

now to do the rest of my site..thanks so much

Ken

I will make sure I send my blog readers to come visit you..thanks a ton

I tried to copy the template to the C:Documents and SettingsYOURUSERNAMEApplication dataAdobeLightroomWeb Galleries map, but I doesn’t appear in Lightroom even after rebooting it won’t come up.

What am I doing wrong?

Bart

You are on windows vista correct?

I’m sorry, I should have noted this.

I’m running Windows XP, SP2.

Bart

I don’t have vista running on any computers so i can not really test this. Matt from theturninggate.com provided the path information for Vista so maybe he can assist you with this. I know that people have used the path C:>Users>YOURUSERNAME>AppDataRoaming>AdobeLightroom>Web Galleries an it has worked for them. What path are you using?
