LRG FlashSlideStrip v2.0
We have updated the LRG FlashSlideStrip template with a few fixes as well as a new Slideshow Feature! This gallery will also preview within Lightroom, finally!
Features Include:
- The Watermark can be turned on or off
- Gallery Title and Gallery Descriptions are now included
- Colors can be changed for the Gallery Title and Description
- Back to Site (or whatever you label it) button is smaller and less obnoxious
- Image Title and Caption text areas are now allowed to have multiple lines.
- Image Title and Caption text and background box will automatically resize to fit in all your text.
- You can now choose to have a transparent background. This means you can have a background image for your html page and it will show through the flash movie. If you choose this options you will have to add your background image to the html page.
As usual, this template is customizable. Basically every color, size, and text can be changed to fit your needs.
Iif you run into any problem PLEASE let me know so i can fix them. PLEASE let me know what you think of this template, as well as any suggestions you have.
Enjoy!

Hey Joe
Thanks for the update. Much appreciated.
One niggle - I’m finding the slideshow control sits in the header bar directly above my Identity plate logo and looks pretty messy. Is there any way it can be positioned at the top left of the content below the header?
Cheers
Johno
Matt and Johno, I have updated the template to address your issues. Please download it again. Thanks
Sweet! I got a lot to say - sorry in advance.
1. You know what I would like to control? The color that the images turn once they are not in the middle! That fade to white is a bit much, and I think it distracts from the center image. Fade to black would be nice - depending on the bg color.
2. As on most of these templates, the ‘Appearance’ tab has nothing under it - is that normal?
Actually a lot of this template doesn’t work for me… and in typing this out, I realize that perhaps this is all because I am running Lightroom 1.0 on a Windows XP machine.
Unfortunately, due to complicated complications, I cannot get lightroom 1.1 to run, so perhaps that is why. Anyways:
3. Previewing in the Browswer does not work.
4. Preview within Lightroom doesn’t work
5. oh, and Export seems to work, but the exported site is just blank.
Anybody else have trouble with Lightroom 1.0 and upgrading to 1.1?
First of all, thank you for all of your work in offering fabulous flash templates, for free!!! You do incredible work!!
I have used the LRG flashslidestrip v1.0 with success in the past. I now am trying to use v2.0, but I have several problems:
- I cannot see any preview in lightroom
- When i click “preview in browser” the template does not load and I have a greenish background showing with nothing else
- I noticed that the .zip file has an “index.html” and a .png (I think) file which I have never seen in your Zips before…
Am I doing something wrong??
Thank you for all of your help!!!

Thanks for the great galleries!
I don’t see an option to toggle the copyright info. on and off. All my photos have the information embedded and so it continues to show up at the bottom of the images, even though I don’t want it there. I’m also having a hard time getting the Site and Collection titles to show.
Hi - Getting on well with the FlashSlideStrip gallery. Tahnk you for all your work. I havee tweaked much but cannot work out how to change text size. I want to make “Back To Web Site” text a little larger. Any help would be gratefully received.
Regards
Peter
Joe, I’m with the guy who’d like the following:
“1. You know what I would like to control? The color that the images turn once they are not in the middle! That fade to white is a bit much, and I think it distracts from the center image. Fading to a dark would be better.”
Also; when you use the viewer.swf without showing the slide show control, Is there an easier way to get it to return to the first photo again rather than having to go back thru all the previous photos? Would be handy if it had a return to start icon you could click that appeared after the last photo.
Hi, Another question re: FlashSlideStrip.
Is it possible to have the option of turning off the PRINT function?
Best
Peter
Print function? Not sure what you mean. Are you talking about from the browser window choosing “print”?
Johno,
In the current version you can change the color the images tint to, but the only thing is that its tied to the color of the image frame. so if the image frame is white, the tint color of the images is white. I am almost done with a new version of this template that includes paypal shopping cart buttons. in this new template you are able to fully control the colors you mention, you can also control the opacity of the tinting as well. Im hoping to get this new template out later this week.
Peter Raymond,
Right now you can not control the size of the back to site button text, but in the latest version (the one available for download now on the site) i made it much smaller. Im going to make it so you are able to change its text size in the upcoming version.
Hi, Thanks for the replies.
Ref Print Function question:
In WXPSPII, if you right click on an image the option to print the page appears. Just wondering whether it would be possible to stop this being avaiable maybe with “no right click”.

Peter
Hi,
This is a great template
any chance of adding a setting to auto play the slideshow in the future?
I did a couple of test galleries
http://stefanogiovannini.com/test/littlehaiti1
http://stefanogiovannini.com/test/littlehaiti2
that load OK on Macs but people with Windows PCs could not load. am I doing something wrong?

Hi,
This is a very nice template and I have 2 suggestions. You should also add a Height size option for the images, because I can’t see de title/caption of the portrait images and maybe a small button somewhere with “click to enlargeâ€.

Hi Joe,
The gallery is looking good, but there seems to be a problem. When I disable the ID plate, it also disables the site title, collection title and slideshow controls.
Cheers,
Matt
