LRG FlashSlideStrip with PayPal - UPDATE!
We updated the LRG FlashSlideStrip with PayPal template!
Version 1.1 Improvements Include:
We have fixed the issue with this gallery not being able to handle large amounts of images. Now each image will load one at a time starting from the first image and going to the last image. You should be able to use a large amount of images with this gallery now, but there is a limiting factor which is the flash player and the viewer’s computer. The more images you have the harder flash and your computer’s processor have to work. This results in a less then ideal viewing experiance. My advice, if you want to use alot of images make them smaller. The smaller the images are the better the performace of the gallery.
The problem with the Euro symbol not working correctly has also been fixed. In order to fix this problem I had to choose a different font to use. If you choose Euros as the currency you will notice the font of the PayPal options change to Arial. This was the only way I could solve the problem. It only changes to Arial if you choose Euros, no other currency settings will switch the font.

first, who delete my previous comment?
second, i can’t scroll the images in browser, can someone explain me why? i have leopard.
Excellent work. I love its simplicity. Its hard to find ways of displaying photos over the net. You guys are quickly mastering it.
One thing. I’ve noticed that when first viewing this page at full screen & maximized with Firefox on a PC & Mac that the images display low. But once you resize the browser they move/jump up higher. Has anyone else noticed this?
This looks great! Is this the only example or type of LR html or flash gallery that has paypal incorporated into it?
Is there anyone out there working on a version that shows more like a traditional gallery where you have multiple thumbnail review but can click on a specific image then see order detail?
As I am not a html or flash pro and can’t create myself, does this interest anyone else?
I’m loving how the development wave is starting to grow around LR.
Thanks for this!
kmack67,
I am in the process of creating a more traditional gallery like LRG FlashFlex that has paypal features in it. Not sure when it will be complete, but its in the works. There is an html version LRG One with PayPal that you might be interested in. Its in the template downloads.
David,
I noticed this issue to the other day and will get to work fixing it. I will post on the site when its been updated
please can some one shed some light!! ah - im looking to use the LRG FlashSlideStrip with PayPal gallery available here in AMG / bridge cs3 ( adobe media gallery ) as far as i can tell AMG is supposed to be compatible with the light room galleries … ive located the templates folder for AMG and copied my lightroom templates in there ( such as the LRG and others ) they have a slightly different structure but look similar with the gallerymaker.xml file etc …. what am i doing wrong? where should i put the files or is AMG just not compatible with 3rd party lightroom galleries? and if not why not?
any help with this greatly appreciated!!
Roosta,
3rd party galleries, at least the ones from this site, will not work with AMG. Although they are built very similar there a enough differences that they will not work.
OMG OMG OMG… You rock it works with 896 images, with an output of 480px and the quality at 80. So now the bugs that I see are if the slide show is running and you want to order a print the slideshow does not stop and the window of the prices floats over the next images. So if I’m watching the slideshow and want to order that image I should be able to click on it and the slideshow stops, and once ordered and added to cart then the slideshow resumes. Then the only other suggestion would be to be able to add a slider bar at the bottom???
Many Many Thanks
Ricardo
i noticed that the vertical images do not fit my Macbook browser window - I wish there was a way to set max height.
also I was wondering if there was a way to insert the slideshow in html page with a html nav bar without the LRGflashslidestrip header bar…
I woud rather have links in html/css… I am not a designer - i was wondering is there was some tutorial and simple way.
also I would like to have no gradient when teh image comes up.
I think LRG templates are great for galleries - but once i think about integrating them in a website - it seems a bit hard.
I have found the same problem that David Sikma reported - the images display low but, if you simply resize the window, they pop up to the top. I have found it happens on IE 7 too. It happens on both maximised full screen and non-maximised. It seems t be a first-load issue.
I have also seen that this happens in Lightroom - to get the pictures to pop up you simply resize the web module centre window.
Thank you for your great gallery. As I live in germany, is there a way to configure the “add to cart” or “view cart” buttons, so that I can use my own german buttons?
Best regards, Oliver
Beautiful. The way the images load now is so seamless and fast. Thank you for your hard work. You need to put a Palpal button on your own site for donations.
I am wondering if you have found a fix for the strips placement on loading (sits below browser) and then pops up only after user resizes browser. I have tried a few CSS tricks with it, but nothing seems to effect it. Did not seem to be an issue on your earlier release.
Thanks in advance-
Shawna
this gallery is a godsend! the paypal integration is perfect and easy to work with. I’m seeing a few issues and was wondering if you could have a look:
1. layout -people on smaller monitors report not being able to see the paypal options as they are off screen (even up to 1024×768). I’ve verified this.
2. the preview isn’t always refreshed, and there is some funky stuff around the identity plate - choose one, get another, turn it off, it remains in the preview.
3. if you size the images for 1024×768 and choose the Local Pickup option, the Add to cart button is pushed off the image frame -cosmetic but an issue.
Others sometimes have flash issues. It sure would be nice to have something that uses normal html galleries or a simpler slideshow (one image per page that resizes like the default flash galleries in LR) for space constraints.
Thanks for the great work though, its awesome!
Would it be possible to get the image fix LRG gallery applied to the comment version? I don’t really have a need for the Paypal, but I (and my clients) love the commenting functionality.
Thanks.

Dude, you rock! I can tell you that this works great with 125 images. The old version could only handle around 50 before it the Flash plugin started giving the slow message. Nicely done!
I have a couple of more questions/requests for ya… is there any way to make this gallery scalable like the default Flash gallery in Lightroom? I know that I can make the the default one non scalable by editing the width and height in the index.html file after the gallery has been generated… is there something similar I can do with the LRG FlashSlideStrip version? Would I be able to make the watermark scale with the image as well? A far as feature request… maybe an option for thumbnails at either the top or the bottom would be nice.
Thanks again for such a useful template!
