LRG Complete 1.1 to 1.1.1
Thanks for the many kind words about this template, and thanks for your bug reports and suggestions. I have fixed a couple minor bugs (thanks for bug reports from users) and revised some of the code for this template for beta release 1.1.1 of LRG Complete. Please use this version from now on and delete any previous version. Looks like we are very close to a final release of this template. Once we get a good core code base for this template i can then start adding features such as slideshows, paypal, image selection and comments.

Just a quick note that the bottom menu “Prev Page | 1 of 2 | Next Page >” does not display in Firefox 3.0b5 (works in IE7 and Firefox 2.0)
Hi, great template! Some minor bugs though… This keeps happening randomly when i load the page: http://photos.fjellbar.com/error1.png . Sometimes the loading bar won’t disapear and sits over the album.

first, thanks for this awesome template !!
I noticed two problems, maybe binded :
- when I upload a gallery I have the following error : “An error occured sending the file : a response was not received in time”. I have never had such error with other templates.
- some thumbnails are not displayed in the gallery as you can see http://www.thrumyeyes.be/douglasnobels/galeries/index.html

These problems are fixed, apparently the reason was that the files were corrupted during the transfer because of a bad internet connection.

I really like the template, especially the menu generation, now that I have it working.

Great work with the update (and overall of course). Here are my notes.
BUGS
1. Often, after clicking a thumbnail to enlarge, the “Next Image” navigation does not work (grayed out). I usually must click “Prev. Image” and after the previous one loads, then the next image option becomes viable throughout the gallery.
2. The updated 1.1 files do not work with the saved user presets based on the 1.0 files. I re-did them all, but I hope my new presets will work with future revisions.
FEATURE REQUESTS
1. Custom Background
2. Ability to add additional links at the top of the page.
3. Ability to space the gallery content closer to the top bar of the index page.
4. Ability to specify either maximum height or maximum width of enlarged images rather than pixel count.
5. Ability to give the enlarged image frame a different color than the thumbnail border (or not use a frame at all).
6. Ability to have copyright information excluded from the thumbnails but included in the enlarged images.
7. Optional Vertical or horizontal image strip of selected gallery.
8. Ability to have a default gallery load at startup, but have it be invisible in the categories. For instance, one can have a compilation gallery appear when a user first visits the page, but when he or she browses the categorized galleries, the compilation gallery would not be an option.
9. An additional gallery type: a paginated album. This type of gallery would allow a photographer to show off his or her album layout design skills. A visitor can view two sides at a time and turn the page to get a sense of what the photographer’s finished album looks like. BUG : NEXT IMAGE button should be enabled
Here is what I did :
- the last picture is displayed in large size
- I click on the thumbnails button
- and click on the first image of the page to enlarge it
- at this moment, you can see that the “next image” button is disabled.
BUG : Thumbnails are not displayed
I have a gallery with 4 pages.
If you click very fast on the “previous page” button or the “next page” button, you will see that the thumbnails are not displayed.
I’ll have to see what i can do about that. its not really a bug but rather you are telling flash to do too many things too quickly and certain bits of code get skipped when you click, well, any buttons too fast. i’ll see if i can minimize the effects of it though. thanks for catching that.

Thanks for the report about the Next Image button. i will check it out and fix it for the next release. keep sending anything else you find.

I’ve also noticed that the first time the page is loaded on a computer, if the menu is kept open, the pictures load over the menu rather than centered. If I refresh the page, the pictures load properly…the reason I chose to keep the menu open is because the photos expand off-center if let the menu be flexible. Anybody else have this issue?

Is there a way of saving the settings for my galleries, so I don’t have to configure them every time?
I also echo the request for adding both links and arbitrary text to main and gallery pages!

you should be able to save your changes as a user template under the Template Browser on the left panel of the web module. just make your changes then save it as a user template. or, you can open up the galleryMaker.xml files for both the index and gallery templates and make changes there. just upen the files, scroll down a little until you see “EDITABLE - METADATA DEFAULTS” and you will see all the default values for colors and text there. simply change the values, save, and the next time you open up the template you will not have to make any changes. Either way will work.
Please remember to use the standard php tag instead of the short tag. That post in the forum has the most views, so it seems that maybe a lot of people are on servers that don’t have the short tags enabled. (Not sure if you saw the similar comment from me before, since it all disappeared after the point where I actually typed in the php tag. Or maybe you don’t see the need for it to be public, which is your prerogative.)
No, still get the pictures loading over the menu bar on first load with v. 1.1.1. It only happens on a first load or if I clear the cache.

Love the template, but, like others, I’m having some issues:
1. I’m losing the last few % of the right hand side of the Index template in LR, but this is on a PC, not Mac (XP, 1600×1200)
2. I can’t run the galleries on my local PC, the Index doesn’t recognise any of the galleries. But all is fine when I upload everything to my server (same folder structure). Could this be something to do with backslashes on the PC and forward slashes on the server?
3. The galleries run fine on Firefox on a Mac when run ‘native’, but if I try to run the galleries in an i-frame, only the top 25% or so of the gallery page appears, and even the top of that is missing. See

Hi, Issue resolved, just needed to upgrade my Lightroom.
Now, how to remove an item form the Gallery menu?
I believe, taht generation Index ganerated folder, named resources, which now appears in my menu as a gallery (Template sees any folder in the root directory as a gallery) So, I believe, I have to keep this directory but need to exclude it form the Galleries list

I downloaded the new LRG Complete and the right panel is cut-off on my iMac, so I can’t seem to click to change colors (bright Pink) such as Back Button or Button text color. I tried moving the screen over and widening the window without any luck. I also tried shrinking the preview window, by dragging the left side of the right panel over.
Everything else looks good. Thanks.
