LRG FlashFlex
LRG FlashFlex
Once again we are very happy to announce the release of our latest template LRG FlashFlex! This is the first Multi Gallery export template! To organize your images into different galleries or categories all you need to do is fill in the Category IPTC and your images will be organized into separate categories/galleries!
This template is HIGHLY customizable. Basically every color, size, and text can be changed to fit your needs. Included in the downloadable zip file is a readme file that shows you what options/colors are where within the template so customizing is easy.
This release is a beta release. Everything should be working correctly, but if you run into any problem PLEASE let me know so i can fix them. PLEASE let me know what you think of this template as well as any suggestions you have.

ITS SO GREAT, very stylish and clean!
I’m not a website builder, so i have some issues:
1- How do I link it to an existing website?
2- How do i take off the ALL PHOTOS, in the category headline?
thank you,
Christina
Hey I just found your awesome templates. I’m trying to incorporate your gallery into my existing website template. Is there any way to have a transparent background or a background image?
thanks!
This can not be done at the moment with this template. I would have to build it into it. I will change it for you when i get a chance
Christina,
To link to an existing site you can use the back to site button and just change the URL and button text from the right panel. You can not take off the ALL PHOTOS in the category heading.
One other comment about the FLASH FLEX..
Once a CATEGORY has loaded, a BACK BUTTON ALWAYS APPEARS, bottom left?? (FORWARD & BACK NAV THROUGH CATEGORIES)
If u select it, the page BLANKS OUT & you lose all content?
It even does it on your sample (snowboarding) online.
Take a look………
Hey guys, im working on revising this template which will fix most of these little bugs. Check back and i will post the revisions when they are complete. I am also in the process of making this gallery show a preview while editing the options. I just have to figure out one minor issue and then that will be done.
Hi
I just discovered your work from my NAPP newswire. Great work!. I’m interested in this particular gallery style once the Beta has been finished. I have no knowledge of html so I’m not able to do any alterations/fixes etc.
I’ve been looking for a way to handle multiple image categories in one galley and seem to have stumbled on the solution!
Also is there a limit to how many categories it will handle?
Thanks
Joseph
Just downloaded LRG FlashFlex. It appears in my menu and I can select it, but it does not preview in LR so I can’t make any changes to it. It does preview in the browser, but that’s an awkward way to work. I also notice it is cropping my images along the bottom. Maybe I could fix that if I could edit…any ideas?
Thanks,
Grant
Hello, I am running into a few bugs with the FlashFlex template. Number 1 is… Upon loading the page, clicking the “back” button underneath the thumbnails wipes out the images shutting down the photo gallery. If, upon loading the page for the first time you select “forward” in the scroll bar, and then select “back”, the “back” button is no longer present and the problem is solved. This is the case when loading all selections from the Index as well.

I would appreciate any help you can offer.
Great work on the design of this template! I do not have anything to complain, but I do have a question:
Is it possible, that I can close the gallery window by clicking on the header text, instead of clicking the link and be directed to a webpage?
Thank you & great work.
Li
First off, this template is amazing! Someone else mentioned how the thumbnail boxes will disappear, requiring you to reload the site to make them come back. Also the description bar that pops up on the bottom of the large photo box is extremely finicky. Please! Please! Please! help fix, cause the page looks awesome!
If the mentioned bugs are fixed, I do not mind paying to get this template, one of the best flash gallery I’ve encountered so far.
I am in the process of rewriting this template from scratch. I will be much much better. As of now im not really doing anything to the FlashFlex template. What are the most important things you need done to this template?
Hi Admin,
Below is a list of what I’m hoping for in the new version:
The display issues with back/forward button on large images.
It would be nice to have category button icon re-designed or simply be text. The icon looks a bit odd.
More options for closing large images instead of curtain up effect. (ie. dissolve/left/right etc)
Ability to remove gradient effect behind the thumbnails
Ability to add a “Close This Window” button, or ability to remove the header frame so it could be seamlessly intergrated into webpages.
I don’t think anyone is ever going to use the “Drag” function besides dragging thumbnails all over screen for fun
I understand the difficulty of programing such a complex gallery, therefor — two thumbs up for you.

Li,
Great ideas! im in the process of rewriting this template from scratch for much better performance among other things. most of these things you mention will/are included in this new version. im not sure when i will be able to realease it but it should not be that long. thanks!
I’ll agree with pretty much the list of features requested below by Li. Here are the things I’d like to see addressed.
1. Fix the back arrow on initial load. Referenced below in previous post by me. Important.
2. Image Info box is problematic. I get some ‘Undefined’ values. It’s weird. I can try to explain further if necessary. Important.
3. Controlling font sizes in the Image Info box would be nice.
4. Any further control over the Image Info box behavior would be nice. Contol the size of it, have it drop down below image rather than up over it…
5. Adding additional columns would be nice.
6. I think some of the Color Palette controls are referencing the wrong destinations. Not a problem, but a little weird.
I also am willing to pay a reasonable fee for this template. It’s a really nice one.
Thank you! cg
Hey guys,
Im actually rewriting this template from scratch to be much better. im about 50% done and it should be done in a couple weeks or so. i would hold off and wait for the new template.
Hi
First, I just want to say how great this template is and I would be willing to pay if the improvements are made.
I just want to reinforce other peoples’ comments about the back button on first screen and strange behaviour of the caption strip (sometimes it sort of sticks half way up the picture with text overlapping the edge).
My only other comment would be to have more control of the font (even a choice of a few fonts) and font size.
Many thanks and keep up the good work!
Gareth
Hi.
I’m on spain.
I’m beginning with LR.
I’m so much interested in flash web gallery, but i want to know if its possible one thing.
Above this template:
It’s possible for the people download the picture?
That’s what i really need.
The template is wonderfull, perfect, but i have a lot of pictures from “fallas of valencia” and i want put it on the net, and i want too, the people can download, cause i dont want earn any money whit them.
Sorry by the spell.
Really nice job.
Thanks.
I am trying this out, what am I doing wrong?
Is there supposed to be anything showing in the preview pane? Also, when I do a Preview in Browser, the thumbnails are blank. when I click the thumbnail, it will pull up the photo. One last thing…I marked each image in the catagory under content, but I cannot figure out how to make the catagory in the web gallery. I am using v1.3
I would appreciate any help!
Great gallery! Due to the belowmentioned errors, I would also truly appreciate a version update with bugfixes. Any news as to when this will be available? Thanks for the great work!

Very cool. Thanks for providing another great option!
